Adventure and Hiking Tours in Georgia

The Caucasus is high, close to the road, and much emptier than the Alps, which is what makes walking here worth the trip. These tours build in real days on foot rather than a token stroll: the trek up the Juta valley under the Chaukhi peaks, the glacial Truso valley with its mineral springs and abandoned hamlets, the climb to Gergeti Trinity at 2,170 metres, and the rough tracks of Svaneti. Nothing here needs technical skill, but you should be comfortable walking four or five hours. The trips run from eight to twenty days, and one is a ski week in Gudauri for the winter side of the same mountains.
